Can You Train With an Old Injury? Here’s How G Five Approaches It

May 6, 2026 · 5 min read

One of the most common things we hear at G Five Training & Wellness is, "I would love to start, but I have this old injury." Here is the truth: many of our members begin training while working through previous injuries, physical limitations, joint replacements, or long periods of inactivity.

Our founder, William Garcia, rebuilt his own body through bulging discs and two total hip replacements. That experience is built into how we coach.

First, Get Cleared

Once you have been medically cleared to exercise, our coaches help guide your transition back into structured movement and strength training. We never rush that step — safety comes before intensity, always.

Train the Person, Not the Program

There is no one-size-fits-all plan here. Programs are adjusted to your current ability, movement quality, conditioning, and comfort. We progressively rebuild strength, confidence, and consistency — at a pace that respects where your body is today.

Strength Is the Best Protection

Strength helps you recover from injury, protect your joints and bones, and stay independent as you age. Training around a limitation — intelligently — is one of the most powerful things you can do for your long-term health.

If an old injury has kept you on the sidelines in Miami Springs, your free Health Assessment is the safest place to start. Let’s find what you can do.
